Even before Kathy graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, she traveled around the world. Her favorite subjects are the individuals she counts herself lucky enough to meet. From the line and pattern of Japanese wood cuts, to the story telling murals of Mexico, she recognized art's ability to touch mankind regardless of class or race. Her goal is to combine the decorative with a perspective on the human condition.
Today Kathy still travels the world seeking out new experiences. Working from her home studio, she is currently concentrating on watercolor, acrylic, charcoal and mixed media. Her award winning art (for etching and lithography) has been exhibited in Connecticut, Florida, Washington and South Carolina. Over the years, she has evolved her own style which she hopes will brush the dust off everyday life and give us a fresh perspective with her lines, color and technique.
